AJ McLean Extends ‘Better Man Tour’ With 15 New 2027 Dates Under Alexander James Identity

Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean has tacked on 15 shows to The Better Man Tour. His first North American solo run now stretches into February 2027. The new leg will start on Jan. 12 at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in Tracy, California, then close on Feb. 5 at the House of Blues in San Diego.

Ticket sales start today, Oct. 2, and fans can purchase tickets through the singer's official website.

"I'm just really excited to get out there and do this," McLean said, according to The Music Universe. "We've been putting a lot into this show, and it's going to be a really fun one. New music, a full band, some songs people definitely know and probably a few surprises. The fact that we're already adding more dates is amazing. I'm just ready to get on the road and see everybody."

The fall leg of the tour will start on Oct. 19 at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York. It will end on Dec. 5 at Fox Tucson Theatre in Tucson, Arizona.

The tour supports his upcoming album, Sex, Love & Music, which debuts on Nov. 27. The lead single, "Into Your Heart," arrived on Sept. 15 with a music video that the performer co-directed with Rene Elizondo Jr.

Sex, Love & Music marks the second solo album this year from the artist, who performs under the name Alexander James. My Name Is Alexander James came out on Jan. 9, his 48th birthday, and it features "Better Man," which gave the tour its name.

"I've obviously spent a lot of my life on stage, but this feels different for me. It's my show, it's my music, and I really get to show people where I'm at right now," McLean told Entertainment Weekly. "We've been working on this for a while, and I'm just ready to get out there and have some fun with it."

The 2027 shows will be in San Francisco, Portland, Reno, Des Moines, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. McLean will travel through the Pacific Northwest, Mountain West, Midwest, and South before returning to California for the final two shows.

Between both legs of his solo tour, AJ McLean will return to Las Vegas' Sphere with Backstreet Boys. They'll perform five shows of their Into the Millennium residency from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2. The group's 10-night Into the Millennium — Homecoming: Live in Germany residency in Düsseldorf ends on Oct. 7.
