Nick Cannon is ready to let viewers see more of his life behind the scenes.

Cannon will star in a new Netflix docuseries that follows his career, family, and life as a father of 12 children. The series is expected to premiere this winter. It will explore what it’s like for Cannon to balance his busy career with parenting and co-parenting across multiple households.

Nick Cannon Says Nothing Is Off Limits

Cannon recently opened up about the upcoming Netflix series, saying viewers can expect a very open look at his family life.

Rather than allow people to speculate about his family, Cannon said he wanted to tell his own story on camera. He described the series as “raw” and “real,” with difficult conversations and personal moments included.

“People have been fascinated with my lifestyle for quite some time, so instead of letting them make up stuff, I’m gonna give you everything,” said Cannon. “I think we’re being more open and more vulnerable.”

Some of the mothers of Cannon’s children were reportedly hesitant about allowing cameras into their homes. Cannon said they ultimately agreed to participate, despite their concerns about privacy.

The Docuseries Will Explore Co-Parenting

With 12 children and six mothers, Cannon’s family life involves a complicated co-parenting dynamic.

The Netflix series will give viewers a closer look at how the family navigates those relationships. That includes conversations about parenting and sibling relationships. Plus, some of the challenges that come with raising a large family while living in separate households.

Cannon has also acknowledged that filming has brought certain conversations to the surface that may not have happened otherwise.

A Personal Side of Nick Cannon

The series is expected to cover more than Cannon’s role as a father. Netflix previously announced that the project will also follow his career and the demands of his life in entertainment.

The docuseries will also touch on the loss of Cannon’s young son, Zen, who died in 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer. Cannon has continued to publicly honor Zen in the years since his death.

For Cannon, bringing cameras into such a personal part of his life means giving viewers a side of him they haven't seen before.

The untitled Nick Cannon Netflix docuseries is currently expected to arrive this winter.
