Nicole Scherzinger had an unexpected backstage emergency just hours before she was scheduled to perform with the Pussycat Dolls.
The singer shared a photo of burns and blisters on her leg after boiling water spilled on her shortly before the group's concert in Düsseldorf, Germany, on September 26.
Scherzinger said the accident happened just one hour before she was scheduled to take the stage at PSD Bank Dome.
Nicole Scherzinger Still Took the Stage
Despite the injury, Scherzinger performed with Pussycat Dolls bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt.
She later shared a photo of the injury on her Instagram Story, writing, “Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set - But the show must go on.”
She also thanked the Düsseldorf crowd for helping her get through the performance before heading to Amsterdam for the group's next show.
The incident comes during the Pussycat Dolls' PCD Forever Tour, which kicked off earlier this year. The current European and U.K. tour dates are scheduled to continue into October.
The Pussycat Dolls Are Back on Tour
Scherzinger, Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt reunited for the latest Pussycat Dolls tour after years away from the stage.
The group had originally planned a larger worldwide tour, but most of the North American dates were canceled in May. The U.K. and European shows, however, continued as planned.
"Dolls: We want to share an important update with you,” the group said in a social media announcement. “When we announced the PCD Forever Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates. Our U.K. and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out."
For now, Scherzinger is continuing the tour despite the painful injury. Her next scheduled performances include dates across the U.K. before the tour wraps up in London in October.
