John Mayer is heading back to Las Vegas for a special run of shows at Sphere in 2027.

Mayer has announced a 6 show residency at Sphere in April 2027, with performances scheduled for April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18.

But fans won't get the same show every night.

John Mayer Will Perform Three Ways

Each show will feature Mayer performing his music in three different formats: solo, with a full band, and with the John Mayer Trio. The solo portion will primarily feature Mayer on acoustic guitar, while also giving him opportunities to play piano and electric guitar.

For the John Mayer Trio performances, he'll be joined by Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino.

The residency will give fans a chance to hear songs from Mayer's catalog presented in several different ways during the same concert.

When Are the John Mayer Sphere Shows?

The six scheduled performances are:

  • April 8, 2027
  • April 10, 2027
  • April 11, 2027
  • April 15, 2027
  • April 17, 2027
  • April 18, 2027

All six shows will take place at Sphere in Las Vegas.

Mayer is no stranger to the venue. He previously performed at Sphere as part of Dead & Company's residencies in 2024 and 2025.

When Do John Mayer Sphere Tickets Go on Sale?

Fans can register now for the artist presale, which begins October 7 at 10 a.m. PT. A SiriusXM presale follows on October 8, while the general ticket sale begins October 9 at 10 a.m. PT.

Tickets start at $129, according to the announcement. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available beginning September 30.

John Mayer's 2027 Sphere residency will give fans a different kind of concert experience, combining his solo performances, full-band arrangements, and the return of the John Mayer Trio across six nights in Las Vegas.
