MGK shared news about a 2027 album while playing Rock in Rio. The project will come after 2025's Lost Americana.
"New album coming out next year. I don't know how to say all the things I want to in Portuguese, but invent something along the lines of 'Thank you, I love you. All my fans who came tonight, you're the f****** MVPs," he said onstage, according to Music News.
The artist, who used to go by Machine Gun Kelly, opened up about why he makes music before singing "Lonely". He told the crowd music kept him from dying or getting locked up.
"I never set out to be the greatest musician; I never set out to be any of those things. I just wanted to get my pain out," he said. "I wanted to find a community that I never had, and music was my outlet - because where I'm from, everyone ends up dead or in jail. I'm sure it's a lot like this place, but I was fortunate enough to be one of the people that made it out. And I say this: you can't become whole until you experience being broken. This was a song I wrote about being broken."
Lost Americana reached No. 2 on the UK Official Albums Chart. MGK also released a mixtape with Wiz Khalifa called Blog Era Boyz. There's also "FIX UR FACE," a nu-metal track he made with Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit.
This 2027 record will be his eighth studio album. He hasn't revealed the title or release date yet.
