ILLENIUM and Marshmello just dropped their first original collaboration. "Close My Eyes" features vocalist SACHA and came out through Marshmello's Joytime Collective. This happened almost ten years after ILLENIUM remixed the helmeted producer's hit, "Silence."

Guitar plucks start things off. SACHA sings about escaping into sleep to dodge grief. Then, the production shifts. Futuristic bass combines with synth stabs.

ILLENIUM first played this unreleased song during his headline set at Ultra Miami in March 2026. The masked hitmaker's surprise Mainstage appearance caught everyone off guard. The pair played it again in their back-to-back set at Red Rocks in August 2026, and fans tracked its progress as it moved toward studio release.

These two producers have a history. In 2017, ILLENIUM remixed "Silence," which featured Khalid. The duo created an unreleased demo around 2022 with Maggie Lindemann and Royal & the Serpent. Label clearance issues stopped its official release. Marshmello also performed the track live with SACHA at Untold in Romania. EDM Tunes wrote. "When two of dance music's biggest producers team up, expectations are naturally sky-high."

ILLENIUM spent much of the year touring his sixth studio album, ODYSSEY, which included a headline residency at the Vegas Sphere. Marshmello headlines Breakaway Philadelphia this month alongside Tiësto and returns to his Encore Beach Club residency in Las Vegas throughout the fall. "Close My Eyes" is available on streaming platforms.
