Some songs never really go away. They get played at weddings, pop up on throwback playlists, and somehow still sound familiar decades later. Now, Shania Twain is giving one of her biggest hits a fresh new life, and she has brought Grammy-winning DJ and producer Zedd along for the ride.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of “You’re Still the One,” Twain and Zedd have teamed up to reimagine the beloved country-pop classic as a dance-ready track for a new generation. The new version is the centerpiece of Candy Crush’s 2026 Music Season, giving the nearly 30-year-old song a whole new beat without taking away the heart that made it special.

The result is a mix of nostalgia, pop, dance music and, of course, plenty of candy.

From Country Classic to Dancefloor Favorite

“You’re Still the One” has been a fan favorite since Twain released it in 1997. For the new version, Zedd adds a modern dance sound while Twain’s familiar voice keeps the song connected to its original feel.

It is a pretty interesting combination. Twain brings the country-pop history, while Zedd brings the kind of electronic sound that can turn a living room into a dance floor.

For Twain, the collaboration was a chance to introduce the classic song to fans in a completely new way.

“Bringing 'You're Still The One' back with Zedd, and building this special world with Candy Crush for fans to play in, felt like the perfect way to give the song new life. It feels exactly right,” said Shania Twain.

Zedd was just as excited about working with Twain.

“I was super happy Candy Crush brought me and Shania Twain together. She's a legendary artist, and I grew up listening to her music, so being able to collaborate with her on a new version of such an iconic song has been really special,” said Zedd.

Welcome to Candy Country

The new track also comes with an interactive music video directed by filmmaker Jonas Åkerlund. Instead of simply watching the video, fans are encouraged to look closely because there are clues hidden throughout the colorful world.

The video transports viewers to Candy Country, a wild Western-inspired fantasy filled with sparkling rhinestones, candy-colored landscapes, shimmering roadhouses and rainbow-colored rapids.

Basically, imagine a Western town after someone dropped it into a giant bag of candy.

Åkerlund brings his visual style to the Candy Crush Saga universe, creating a strange and colorful world that feels like a music video, video game and treasure hunt all at once.

Fans who spot the hidden clues can unlock real prizes through candyroadhouse.com. The rewards include signed wardrobe pieces worn in the video and even a chance to meet Twain or Zedd on tour.

That gives fans another reason to watch the video more than once. After all, missing a clue could mean missing a prize.

Candy Crush Turns Fans Into Detectives

The interactive video is also part of a bigger idea from Candy Crush. Instead of simply pressing play and watching a music video, fans can search for clues, decode hidden messages and explore the world for surprises.

Last year, Candy Crush worked with Thundercat to turn a famous Diana Ross song into a playable, swipe-driven music video. This year's Music Season takes that idea even further by making fans part of the hunt.

“Candy Crush has always been about making everyday moments more fun. Music Season takes that spirit into music culture, turning a song people know and love into something they can explore, play with and share. Working with Shania and Zedd gives fans a fresh experience and another way to experience Candy Crush beyond the game,” said Luken Aragon, Chief Marketing Officer, King.

It is a fitting move for a game that is already built around finding combinations, clearing levels and chasing the next win. This time, the search simply happens inside a music video.

Music Season Is Live Now

Candy Crush’s Music Season 2026 tournament is now live in the game and runs through October 5, 2026. The Music Season Expedition is available to players starting at level 11.

Fans can also watch the new “You’re Still the One” video and begin looking for hidden clues and rewards at candyroadhouse.com. Candy Crush is also sharing updates and Easter egg clues through @candycrushsaga on Instagram and TikTok.

The video and new track are live now, giving fans plenty of time to explore Candy Country and see how many secrets they can uncover.

For Shania Twain fans, it is a chance to hear a classic song in a completely different way. For Zedd fans, it is an unexpected collaboration with one of country-pop's biggest stars. And for Candy Crush players, there is now another reason to stare at every frame of a music video like a detective.

Thirty years after “You’re Still the One” first became a hit, the song is proving that a classic can still get a pretty sweet remix.
