Stevie Nicks and Olivia Rodrigo will each contribute tracks to the Practical Magic 2 soundtrack. Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" and Rodrigo's "The Cure" will play in different scenes when the movie arrives in theaters on Sept. 10.

The news surfaced after both performers sang "Landslide" together at Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival in Irvine, California. Sandra Bullock, who stars in the sequel, shared a clip in an Instagram story. She wrote, as quoted by Variety: "Angel voices that are part of an upcoming film."

Bullock's post sparked speculation. Fans wondered if the singers had recorded something new together. Both artists will offer existing songs instead, placed separately throughout the soundtrack.

Nicks connects to this franchise through the 1998 original. Her song "Crystal" appeared in the first Practical Magic film 27 years ago. She told Rolling Stone in 2024 that she planned to call the filmmakers and say, "Listen, you have to let me do a song in this, and at least jump off the roof with you guys."

Rodrigo has called "The Cure" one of her favorite songs she has ever made. It comes from her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love, which dropped earlier this year.

The Daisy Chain Fields festival raised $10 million for women's nonprofits. Melinda French Gates matched that amount, raising the total to $20 million. Nicks was one of three special guests who joined Rodrigo onstage. Sarah McLachlan performed. So did Alanis Morissette, who stepped in at the last minute for Karen O, absent because of a family emergency.

"She reminds me of me, when I was her age, 100 years ago," Nicks told the crowd about Rodrigo, Rolling Stone reports. "And I'm somewhat awestruck that she could do all this."

Practical Magic 2 reunites Bullock and Nicole Kidman in their roles as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens from the original 1998 film.
