There are plenty of ways to spend a night with your spouse, but for Justin and Hailey Bieber, karaoke sounds like a pretty good time.
The couple gave fans a glimpse into their musical favorites while posing together for the debut cover of WYouth, a new offshoot of W Magazine. In an interview published Monday, Sept. 7, Justin and Hailey answered questions about some of their favorite things, including the songs they would grab the microphone to sing.
For Justin, the answer comes with a little trip down memory lane.
Justin Goes Back to His YouTube Days
Justin revealed that his go-to karaoke song is “With You” by Chris Brown. The choice may sound like a simple favorite, but longtime fans know the song has a special place in Bieber history.
Before Justin became a global pop star, he was a teenager posting videos of himself singing online. One of those early clips featured him performing Brown’s “With You.”
The video was uploaded to Justin’s YouTube channel in February 2008, when he was just 13 years old. Today, the clip has collected more than 65 million views. That was more than a year before Justin officially launched his music career with his debut single, “One Time,” in May 2009.
In other words, before the stadiums, award shows and sold-out tours, there was a young Justin Bieber, a camera and a YouTube account.
Justin brought that early-career memory back to life earlier this year when he performed at Coachella in April. During his headlining set, he pulled up the old YouTube video and sang along with the crowd. Hailey was among those enjoying the throwback moment.
It seems “With You” has managed to survive every era of Bieber's career.
Hailey Has a Big Karaoke Choice
Hailey's karaoke pick is a little more ambitious.
The Rhode founder told WYouth that her go-to karaoke song is “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen.
That is not exactly a song for the shy karaoke singer. The six-minute classic moves through several different musical styles and includes some famously dramatic vocals. So, if Hailey ever takes the karaoke stage, she is apparently not planning to play it safe.
The couple were also asked to name their favorite artist of all time. Instead of choosing one, however, they both agreed that it was “too hard to pick one.”
Fair enough. With their combined musical interests, narrowing it down to a single artist probably would not be an easy task.
From Young Love to Family Life
Justin and Hailey have been married since September 2018, and their family has grown since then. The couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024.
Their WYouth appearance offers another look at the couple as they balance family life with their busy careers. And for Justin, music continues to be a major part of that story.
Earlier this summer, he joined Shakira, Madonna and BTS for the FIFA World Cup Finals halftime show at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium in July. Justin played guitar and sang “Everything Hallelujah,” a song from his latest album, 2025's Swag II.
From a 13-year-old singing Chris Brown covers on YouTube to performing for massive crowds, Justin's musical journey has certainly come a long way.
Still, when the microphone is handed over for karaoke night, he knows exactly which song he wants to sing. And judging by Hailey's choice, their version of karaoke night could get very interesting.
