Fred again.., Tame Impala, and Dua Lipa are negotiating to headline Coachella 2027. The three acts represent wildly different sounds and styles, yet all could anchor the event in Indio, California.

Tame Impala seems to be a future headliner. Fred again.. and Dua Lipa are being considered for top positions, as well.

Electronic dance music claimed 45% of the 2026 lineup, jumping from 39% in 2025. That makes two consecutive years of growth, according to edm.com.

Tame Impala, Kevin Parker's psych-pop venture, headlined in 2019. The Australian musician first played Coachella in 2011, then returned in 2013 and 2015. Parker released Deadbeat in October 2025, and Wet Leg will debut in UK and European arenas in May and June 2027. Edm.com wrote, "His stagecraft has long blurred the line between rock headliner and electronic auteur with synth-heavy production, hypnotic grooves and a live show built for massive outdoor stages."

Fred again.. teamed up with Skrillex and Four Tet for a closing set in 2023. The performance was one of the year's most memorable festival moments.

This would be Lipa's debut at Coachella. She released Radical Optimism in 2024, an album produced by Parker. The two have shared stages since then. Lipa joined Parker at London's O2 in May to perform their collaboration, "Houdini."

One headline slot is vacant. Festival organizer Goldenvoice has reached out to BTS, SZA, Oasis, and Radiohead. Miley Cyrus received an offer, but she declined.

Goldenvoice President and CEO Paul Tollett appeared at a BTS concert in Seoul on Mar. 21, The Korea Herald reported. He sat with Hybe chairman Bang Si-hyuk at Gwanghwamun Square. BTS will conclude their tour on Mar. 16 in Bulacan, the Philippines, about three weeks before the festival kicks off.

The festival will run on Apr. 9 through 11 and 16 through 18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. You can expect the complete lineup in the coming weeks.
