Drake has set a date for his latest mystery project.

On Thursday, the rapper announced that Fear of Missing Out, also known as FOMO, will arrive on YouTube Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 9 p.m. The announcement gives fans a date for the project, but Drake has not revealed exactly what they will see.

The announcement comes after several weeks of teasing on social media. Drake first hinted at FOMO in August when he shared photos of his family with the caption, “FOMO 2026.” Two weeks later, he posted an image of a CD cover titled “Fear of Missing Out.”

Now, fans have a date to circle on their calendars.

The announcement did not initially make clear what form FOMO will take. Fans have speculated that it could be a new album, a tour announcement, a music video or another type of visual project. Drake has not confirmed any of those possibilities.

The Sept. 15 event is scheduled for YouTube at 9 p.m. Recent reports have identified the time as 9 p.m. Eastern, although the original announcement itself did not clearly specify a time zone.

Another Cryptic Rollout

Drake has used unusual rollouts for his recent projects, making the FOMO announcement familiar territory for longtime fans.

Earlier this year, the rapper built anticipation for his Iceman trilogy with a series of videos and livestreams. At one point, he placed the release date inside a giant block of ice in a Toronto parking lot. Fans climbed onto the ice with sledgehammers in an effort to uncover the information.

The Iceman rollout eventually led to the release of Iceman, along with Maid of Honour and Habibti. Drake also used YouTube as an important part of the rollout, which is one reason fans are paying close attention to his decision to announce FOMO through the platform.

Don Toliver Appearance Adds More Questions

Drake also made a surprise appearance at Don Toliver's concert in Toronto earlier this week. During the show, he performed songs from Iceman live for the first time.

“I just wanna thank Don for having me out tonight,” Drake told the crowd. “This is my first time performing the album since it dropped, so thank you for being here. Look, I love this thing that we do so much in front of the city, I just want to thank you for keeping this shit alive.”

The appearance has led to more speculation about what Drake has planned next. Some fans have wondered whether Toliver could be connected to FOMO, while others have considered whether Drake could be preparing for an Iceman tour.

For now, neither possibility has been confirmed.

What is confirmed is that Drake will bring FOMO to YouTube on Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. Until then, fans will have to wait to find out whether Fear of Missing Out is the name of an album, a visual project, a livestream event or something else entirely.
