Marshmello and Cameron Whitcomb Release ‘Hollow,’ Blending Dance and Country Sounds

Marshmello released a new single called "Hollow" with Cameron Whitcomb. The track mixes electronic music with country influences. It arrived with an official lyric video.

Whitcomb's vocals sit between synths and a four-on-the-floor beat. An intimate verse builds into the refrain, "When the light goes hollow and burns away tomorrow, at least I'll always have tonight with you," according to The Music Universe.

This marks the first collaboration between the GRAMMY Award-nominated producer and the singer-songwriter, telling a story about a strained connection through lyrics like "Saying jokes that only I get/Just to cut the tension in this room."

The DJ first broke ground in country music with Kane Brown on "Miles On It," which became the first track to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Songs and Top Country Songs charts. Since then, he's released "Holy Water" with Jelly Roll and "Better Man Than Me" with Hudson Westbrook.

"Another Drink" with Kelsea Ballerini hit a new peak on the Hot 100 this week, and the track keeps climbing. He released "Phoenix" with Portugal. The Man earlier this year. The producer has blurred lines between country, pop, and dance music, growing his presence across multiple genres while keeping his electronic music roots intact.
