Harry Styles Jokes About MSG Hosting Weddings During Concert

Harry Styles cracked a joke about weddings at Madison Square Garden during his Aug. 29 show. The venue hosted his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift's, wedding to Travis Kelce just weeks earlier in July. Styles told the crowd that the arena is home to the New York Knicks and "they also do weddings," according to Today.

The show marked the third performance of his 30-concert residency at the arena, called the Together, Together tour. It started on Aug. 26. Styles is promoting his album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which debuted in March.

Fans erupted with loud cheers after the comment. The residency will run through Oct. 31, and it will wrap up with a Halloween-themed "Harryween" show.

Swift and Kelce got married at the arena over the July 4 weekend, and Adam Sandler officiated. About 1,000 guests attended, including Tom Hanks and Jennifer Lopez. Austin Swift served as man of honor for his sister, while Jason Kelce stood as best man for his brother.

The Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in the 2026 NBA Finals, ending a 53-year championship drought. Jalen Brunson earned Finals MVP honors. The team won its first title since 1973.

Styles and Swift dated for several months between late 2012 and early 2013. The two met at the 2012 Kids Choice Awards. Rumors began in November 2012 when Swift wore a paper airplane necklace matching one worn by Styles. They split in January 2013.

Their time together inspired songs on Swift's album, 1989, including "Style" and "Is It Over Now?." In 2017, Styles released "Two Ghosts," which fans believe references their romance.

Styles got an invitation to the wedding but couldn't attend. He was performing at Wembley Stadium that night. His fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, attended the ceremony without him. Styles and Kravitz got engaged in April after their relationship developed over the past year.
