GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor signed with United Talent Agency. UTA will represent her across live touring, filmed entertainment, digital media, theatre, and brand partnerships. The agency will seek opportunities in all areas for the pop star.
This signing follows her seventh studio album, Toy With Me, in April. According to Billboard, she said that the inspiration for her latest album's name came from playing toys with her kids, stating, “I want my music to take me back to childhood when everything was easier and better and lighter.”
She also made her on-screen acting debut in Ryan Murphy's FX series, The Beauty, in January. She appeared as Condé Nast employee Brittany in a series set in the world of high fashion.
The Massachusetts native burst onto the scene in 2014 with "All About That Bass." The song topped the Billboard Hot 100. It achieved diamond status and helped her land a recording contract with Epic Records.
Her debut album, Title, hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2015, including "Dear Future Husband" and "Lips Are Movin." Trainor won a GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist in 2016. She received the Hitmaker Award at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event.
Her 2016 album, Thank You, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. It included the hit "NO," which reached No. 3 on the Hot 100. She has released five more studio albums: Treat Myself, A Very Trainor Christmas, Takin' It Back, and Timeless.
The pop star has appeared as a judge, coach, mentor, and advisor on NBC's "The Voice," BBC One's "The Voice UK," Fox's "The Four," and Network Ten's "Australian Idol." In 2023, she published the motherhood memoir Dear Future Mama: A TMI Guide to Pregnancy, Birth, and Motherhood from Your Bestie.
She canceled a North American arena tour planned for earlier this year because of low ticket sales, citing the challenges of balancing work, family, and a new baby. Her last tour in 2024, the Timeless Tour, was a 26-show run. It sold 265,276 tickets and grossed $14.5 million, according to Pollstar Boxoffice. That trek included sold-out stops at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. The Nantucket native will write and produce songs for Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's Margie Claus, a holiday film starring Melissa McCarthy.
