Caitlin Clark Wants Swift to Wear Nike Caitlin 1 Signature Shoe

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark wants Taylor Swift to wear her new Nike signature shoe when it debuts on Oct. 1. The WNBA player shared this during an interview with SLAM magazine. She was the first female athlete on the cover of the sneaker publication.

"I wouldn't mind seeing Taylor Swift in a couple versions that I think she would probably like," said Clark to SLAM. The Nike Caitlin 1 will debut in the "Racer Blue" colorway. It's one of more than 10 versions the guard has shown off ahead of the release.

Clark added that she wants other players wearing the shoes, too. "Other than that, I honestly think it's really cool just seeing other WNBA players or other NBA players wear your shoe," she said. "I think that's really special."

The two have built a friendship over the past two years. Swift invited the Fever star to Kansas City Chiefs games, supporting her now-husband, Travis Kelce. They were spotted together in the suite twice during 2025.

Swift gifted Clark four bags of tour merchandise with a note calling the athlete inspiring in 2024. The Fever guard also attended an Eras Tour show and promoted the pop star's album in 2025.

The guard has locked down one celebrity endorsement already. She shared a photo of Travis Scott trying on the shoes in an all-black colorway.

The Nike Caitlin 1 features a Nike Opticast upper with cast PU nodes designed to reduce drag and improve on-court movement. A Cushlon midsole paired with an Air Zoom Turbo unit provides cushioning. Other colorways include Yellow Zest, Purple, Hot Punch, Iowa, Grinch, Tunnel Walk, White Label, All-Star, and Mint.
