Harry Styles will perform six concerts in Mexico City. The shows should generate between $145 million and $171 million for the city's economy. The series started on July 31 and runs through Aug. 10 at GNP Seguros Stadium. Over 68,000 people attended the opening performance.
Ticket sales will account for more than 80% of total revenue. Hotels, restaurants, transportation, and other services will capture what remains.
Hotels expect to collect over $17.2 million as visitors travel from across Mexico and other countries. Restaurants and cafés near the venue should see about $9 million in spending.
Around 60% of attendees will travel to the capital for these performances, and most will stay two to three nights. More than 400,000 fans should attend across all six dates.
"It's not just the event organizers who benefit," said Vicente Gutiérrez Camposeco, head of Canaco CDMX, according to Mexico News Daily. "Hotels, restaurants, shops, tourism services, transportation, ride-hailing platforms, travel agencies, suppliers, and thousands of small and medium-sized businesses that participate directly or indirectly in serving visitors also benefit."
The capital is one of seven cities worldwide chosen by the British pop star to host a 2026 residency. Mexico City has the most performances in the region, according to promoter Ocesa.
During opening night, the performer spoke phrases in Spanish, waved a Mexican flag, and led the audience while singing for a band member's birthday.
The setlist blended several hits. "As It Was," "Watermelon Sugar," and "Sign of the Times" appeared alongside tracks from his latest album, Kiss All The Time. British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith serves as the opening act.
The remaining shows will take place on Aug. 1, 4, 7, 8, and 10.
