Harry Styles has spent years entertaining packed stadiums, but even one of pop music's biggest stars cannot always stay on his feet. During his latest concert in Mexico City, the singer had an unexpected slip that could have been an awkward moment. Instead, he brushed it off with a smile, kept the music going, and reminded fans why they love watching him perform live.
The 32-year-old singer took a tumble while performing the second show of his Together, Together Tour at GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on Sunday, Aug. 2.
A TikTok video of the moment, posted by local media group Grupo Reforma, shows Styles happily skipping across the stage while performing his song "Are You Listening Yet?" Moments later, he loses his footing, slips, and falls backward onto the stage.
Rather than letting the accident interrupt the show, Styles reacted almost instantly. He leaned to one side, smiled at the crowd, and continued singing into the microphone as if nothing had happened. The audience appeared to appreciate the quick recovery, turning what could have been an embarrassing moment into one that showcased his professionalism.
A Rainy Start in Mexico City
The fall came just one day after weather had already caused problems for the tour. Styles was forced to delay his first Mexico City concert on Saturday because of heavy rainstorms in the area, according to the Daily Mail.
When he finally took the stage, he thanked fans for waiting through the difficult conditions.
"Viva México! Thank you so much for being here. Is everyone all right? Okay, it's just like sweating if you think about it. You survived the rain. Thank you for being here. It means so much to us."
Styles is currently performing a six-night residency in Mexico City, with the final concert scheduled for Aug. 10.
A Tour Filled With Unexpected Challenges
Although fans have been excited to see Styles return to the stage, the Together, Together Tour has already faced a few unexpected setbacks.
On July 21, the singer canceled the third show of his four-night residency in São Paulo because of what was described as "tour illness."
"Harry Styles show on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at MorumBIS has been cancelled due to tour illness," Styles' rep told PEOPLE at the time. "Your order will be refunded at point of purchase. Friday, July 24, 2026 will play as scheduled."
Just weeks earlier, another concert sparked concern online after a video from Styles' June 26 performance at London's Wembley Stadium spread across social media.
During one of his signature moments onstage, Styles attempted his famous "whale" move by spraying water from his mouth. However, he appeared to choke on the water instead, leading to a coughing fit that briefly sent him to the ground. Thankfully, he recovered and continued the performance.
Plenty More Shows Ahead
Despite the recent bumps along the way, Styles still has a busy schedule ahead. His Together, Together global residency includes 50 shows across seven cities in support of his latest album, Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally.
After wrapping up his Mexico City performances, he will head to New York, Melbourne, and Sydney. One of the biggest stops on the tour will be a 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden in New York, beginning Aug. 26 and running through Oct. 31.
If his latest concert is any indication, even an unexpected fall is not enough to slow him down. Styles turned a simple slip into a moment fans will likely remember, proving that sometimes the best performances are the ones that include a little bit of the unexpected.
