Dutch Bros. Coffee Shop Will Open in North Augusta by End of 2026

Dutch Bros. Coffee plans to launch a drive-thru spot at 208 Edgefield Road in North Augusta before this year ends. A company spokesperson verified the fourth quarter opening date.

"Dutch Bros. hopes to serve every community one day, so this location felt like a natural next step for us to bring another location to," the spokesperson said, per the North Augusta Star.

The coffee company purchased two outparcels at Edgewood Square in June for $600,000, per Aiken County property records. The site rests just outside Edgewood Square shopping center.

Plans for the North Augusta shop first surfaced in March 2025. That's when the developer went before the city's Board of Zoning Appeals seeking a variance on the property, which was still in the design phase at that point.

The chain whips up coffee, shakes, smoothies, blended drinks, lemonades, sodas, teas and some baked items. Every location functions as drive-thru and walk-up only.

The company began as a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon. Today the chain runs more than 1,200 spots across half the states.

The brand entered South Carolina's market in 2025. Last summer, the company launched one spot each in Summerville and north of Charleston.

The chain scooped up Charlotte-based Clutch Coffee Bar's 17 stores in the Carolinas earlier this year, a deal that included eight shops in South Carolina.
