For an artist just beginning her music journey, North West appeared to have plenty of momentum. Fresh off the release of her debut EP, N0rth4evr, the 13-year-old was preparing to headline her first tour alongside rising rapper Molly Santana. Instead, those plans have come to an unexpected stop, leaving fans wondering what happened.

Kimokawaii Tour Pulled Before Opening Night

North's first headlining outing, the Kimokawaii Tour, has officially been canceled before it could get underway. The tour was set to begin Aug. 5 in Dallas, but that date and an Aug. 17 stop in Toronto are now listed as "canceled" on Ticketmaster. The tour's official website also appears to have been taken offline.

One performance has not yet disappeared from the schedule. An Aug. 25 show at San Francisco venue The Midway is still listed on the venue's website, although it is unclear whether that performance will still happen.

Neither North nor Molly Santana has publicly addressed the canceled dates, and no reason for the tour's cancellation has been announced.

A Big Step After Her Debut EP

The tour would have been another major milestone for North, the daughter of rapper Ye and reality star Kim Kardashian. She released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, in May, marking her official arrival as a solo artist.

The project quickly received support from the Kardashian-Jenner family. Several relatives, including her uncle Rob Kardashian, aunt Khloé Kardashian and grandmother Kris Jenner, shared Instagram Stories of themselves listening to North's new music and celebrating the release.

Turning Online Buzz Into Lyrics

North also used her music to respond to one of the internet's favorite talking points. The lead single from the EP, "Piercing On My Hand," which arrived in February, references the public conversation surrounding her dermal piercing.

"Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands," North rapped in the song. "No friends, just filter, you wouldn't understand."

She continued the confident tone later in the track.

"All my friends are hits, you know I'm not lazy/You're so angry that I'm so mainstream," rapped North. "I'm not sure I'm crazy/I want more piercings and tats/I love blue hair put it in some plaits/Put the music to the max/I want like a hundred thousand racks."

Building Her Music Résumé

Although she is only 13, North has already worked with established artists. In 2025, she appeared on FKA Twigs' song "Childlike Things" from the album Eusexua. Meanwhile, Molly Santana recently teamed up with Drake and Future on the song "Ran To Atlanta."

The pair had already given fans a preview of their chemistry onstage. Santana joined North during her festival debut at Rolling Loud in Miami in May, shortly after the release of N0rth4evr. That performance helped build excitement for what would have been North's first headlining tour.

Fans Await What's Next

For now, the Kimokawaii Tour has come to an end before the first show could begin. While the cancellations are disappointing for fans hoping to see North perform live, her music career is still in its early chapters. With a debut EP, a growing list of collaborations, and plenty of attention surrounding her next moves, many will be watching to see what comes next.
