‘American Idol’ Is Coming Back: ABC Renews Show for Landmark Season 25

ABC has officially renewed American Idol for its milestone 25th season. Fans can look forward to another round of unforgettable auditions, performances, and breakout talent. The show will return for another season in 2027.

The renewal also marks an important milestone for the series. Season 25 will be the show's 10th season on ABC after the network revived American Idol in 2018 following its original run on Fox.

If you've ever dreamed of stepping onto the Idol stage, auditions are just around the corner. The nationwide virtual audition event, "Idol Across America," is set to kick off August 25, giving hopeful singers from across the U.S. an opportunity to audition for producers from wherever they are.

While ABC hasn't officially confirmed the judging panel for the upcoming season, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood are expected to return. But reports say their contracts are still being finalized. Longtime host Ryan Seacrest is also anticipated to continue leading the competition.
