Wet Nose Wednesday: Meet Zuko

Zuko is so, so good! He is three years old and sweet! He is housebroken, loving, snuggly, and bonds instantly!

Long time resident and volunteer favorite, Zuko, spent the weekend with a fabulous foster couple! Here's what they had to say:

“Zuko is special! Loving, smart, energetic, curious...these are just a few words to describe him.

My husband and I had the honor of keeping Zuko over the weekend. He was a joy to be with and would make someone a great companion. Zuko loves his walks and would be a good exercise buddy for someone who enjoys the outside. He is also calm in the house when it's time to relax. He slept on the floor next to us at night and was quiet until the morning.

Zuko instantly bonded with my husband and was often by his side. We took him for a walk in Hopelands Gardens and he walked well on the leash. Because he is energetic, he may "pull" a little but I'm confident he is easily trained. He was a little shy getting in the car for the first time, probably remembering he was dropped off at the shelter the last time he was in a vehicle. Once in the car, he was calm and well-behaved.”

Zuko is available for adoption at the Aiken County Animal Shelter. All adoptable pets at the Aiken County Animal Shelter are vaccinated, microchipped & fixed. The Aiken County Animal Shelter is located at 333 Wire Road in Aiken.  Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
