Shakira knows how to keep fans on their toes, and her latest concert proved it. The global superstar turned a packed night at Brooklyn's Barclays Center into a celebration of surprise guests, with Grammy winner Tyla helping breathe new life into one of Shakira's most iconic songs.
Tyla Joins Shakira for a Fan Favorite
During a stop on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, Shakira surprised the crowd by bringing Tyla onstage for a performance of her 2006 chart-topping hit, "Hips Don't Lie."
Fan videos from the concert captured the pair sharing vocals on the Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 classic while dancing together in perfect sync. The crowd quickly embraced the unexpected collaboration, cheering as the two stars performed one of Shakira's biggest global hits.

More Surprise Guests Took the Stage
Tyla was not the only artist to make an appearance during Monday's (July 20) show.
Burna Boy joined Shakira for a performance of "Dai Dai," while Ed Sheeran stepped onstage to perform "Underneath Your Clothes," giving fans even more unforgettable moments throughout the night.
Shakira returns to Barclays Center on Tuesday (July 21), where fans will no doubt be wondering who else might show up. After Brooklyn, the tour heads to Elmont's UBS Arena and Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall before making its way to Spain, where Shakira begins a 12-night run in Madrid this September.
A Busy Year for Both Stars
Shakira has already had a huge 2026. The four-time Grammy winner recently performed during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show, curated by Chris Martin, alongside Justin Bieber, BTS, Coldplay, and more.
Tyla also has plenty to celebrate. The Grammy-winning singer is getting ready to release her sophomore album, APop*, this Friday (July 24). The project has already produced three singles, including her collaboration with Zara Larsson, "She Did It Again," which features a music video directed by Aerin Moreno.
