DJ Khaled’s ‘AALAM OF GOD’ Misses July 17 Release Date Without Explanation

DJ Khaled's album AALAM OF GOD didn't drop on Friday, July 17. The producer had announced that date back in April. The record remained unavailable on streaming platforms three days past the scheduled launch, and the Miami-based artist has offered no public comment on the delay or a new timeline.

The missed release marks the second setback for what was expected to be the producer's 14th studio album. It would have been his first full-length project since 2022's God Did. The record was set to drop through We the Best Music Group and Republic Records, ending the longest gap between solo albums of his career.

The project first ran into trouble back in February 2025 when the producer unveiled a seven-minute trailer starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos. The announcement claimed the album would include two collaborations with Drake.

Drake shut down the claim in an Instagram comment, writing, "Must be @drakebell," according to the In Music Blog. The producer deleted both the trailer and announcement post right after the response. Reports suggested Drake never cleared the songs, leaving the project in limbo after the public rebuke.

The album was announced as far back as 2023. Originally titled Til Next Time, he later changed the name to AALAM OF GOD, which references the Arabic phrase meaning "world of God" while honoring his younger son, Aalam.

"This is not my last album, it's my Black album," the producer said during the original announcement, according to In Music Blog, comparing its significance to Jay-Z's 2003 release.

The timing follows Drake's recent ICEMAN rollout, where the Toronto rapper appeared to direct pointed bars at the producer on "Make Them Pay." Drake rapped, "And, Khaled, you know what I mean / The beef was fully live, you went halal and got on your deen / And your people are still waitin' for a free Palestine / But apparently everything isn't black and white and red and green, d**n."

According to released information, the album is expected to feature appearances from Burna Boy, Cardi B, Tems, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Future, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, GloRilla, Jay-Z, Rod Wave, Ozuna, G Herbo, and other guests.

Fans began questioning whether the project would drop after the producer remained quiet throughout the hours leading up to midnight on Friday. No countdown. No promotional push. No explanation once the release window passed. Uncertainty continues to grow about when the album will surface.
