BTS Members Wear Football Jerseys During European Tour Stops

Three BTS members wore football jerseys while performing across Europe on their Arirang world tour. Suga, V and J-Hope each appeared in club shirts at shows in Madrid and Munich.

Suga wore an Atletico Madrid home jersey during the group's second show at Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Madrid on June 27. The red-and-white, striped shirt was for the 2026 to 2027 season. It displayed his stage name with the number seven on the back. 

The club hadn't released this kit yet, and no typical preseason leaks had surfaced. Fans got their first glimpse from the performer, who loves sports. Atletico Madrid unveiled it two days later on June 29.

The timing sparked speculation. Fans in South Korea and Spain wondered if this was intentional. Reports had linked South Korean midfielder Lee Kang-in with a summer transfer from PSG to Atletico Madrid, and some people thought that Suga's choice might be linked to those rumors.

V and J-Hope wore Bayern Munich jerseys at the group's July 12 concert in Munich, Germany. They appeared onstage in the club's shirts at Allianz Arena.

Pairing football jerseys with streetwear has grown from a niche style into mainstream fashion. This trend, called blokecore, mixes vintage and current club shirts with everyday clothing.

Club shirts were once worn mostly by football supporters. The Star wrote that they "have become wardrobe staples embraced by celebrities for marketing purposes."

The Arirang world tour marked the group's return after reuniting following military service. The European leg included multiple stops.
