Fans know Shaboozey for blending country, hip-hop, and storytelling into unforgettable songs. Now, he's taking that same cinematic style to an entirely new stage. The musician is officially stepping into the comic book world with The Outlaw Cherie Lee, his first-ever graphic series, giving fans another way to experience the universe behind his upcoming album.
The project also marks Shaboozey's first appearance at San Diego Comic-Con International 2026, where he'll celebrate the launch of the new series and give fans an early look at what's ahead.
A Western revenge story comes to life
Range Comics is officially partnering with musician Shaboozey to debut The Outlaw Cherie Lee. The strategic crossover project expands the narrative world of his highly anticipated companion studio album.
Created alongside Xaivia Inniss and adapted by scriptwriter Robert Jeffrey II, the three-issue series tells a dark, cinematic Western revenge story. It follows Cherie Lee, a former law officer who gives up her badge to hunt down the outlaw gang responsible for killing her sheriff father.
The comic is illustrated by Sean Damien Hill, with colors by Andrew Dalhouse. Together, the artwork captures the same rugged atmosphere and emotional storytelling that fans have come to expect from Shaboozey's country-inspired music.
Comic-Con debut and exclusive first look
Shaboozey will celebrate the launch with two special appearances during San Diego Comic-Con International 2026.
On Friday evening, he'll visit the Funko Village booth to sign advance copies of the first issue. Later that day, he'll headline a live panel and podcast recording of Get Rec'd With Straw Hat Goofy, hosted by creator Juju Green. During the event, Shaboozey will talk about expanding his creativity into comics and debut an exclusive trailer narrated by Jamie Foxx.
Fans attending Comic-Con will also get the earliest chance to pick up The Outlaw Cherie Lee #1, which arrives at the Funko booth on July 24, 2026. Shaboozey's companion album follows on July 31, while the comic will receive its nationwide release on August 18, 2026.
