Gracie Abrams has found a new passion. Dancing at clubs has taken over her world these past six months, she says. The artist released her new album, Daughter from Hell, on July 17.

"In the past six months, going out and dancing has become a really central part of my life," she told Vogue. "It's been such an exciting outlet." The 26-year-old has conquered fears through movement. She hit the dance floor with friends, and it's changed her music too.

She is also developing a new hobby of drawing portraits with pastels. She's creating portraits that capture moments with those closest to her. "I'm drawing little portraits of friends whenever we're together," she shared. "There's something quick and kind of silly about it, but I also find it very therapeutic and peaceful. I love it because it's not that deep."

The "Hit the Wall" musician also landed her first movie role in Halina Reijn's A24 period drama, Please. "I'm trying to remain open to whatever the experience looks like and feels like," she explained. "And not get in my own way or let fear dictate my openness. I am very curious about how that's going to unfold. It feels so weird talking about it, having not shot it yet." The artist juggles recording sessions, movie prep, and creative pursuits that feed her soul.
