From viral songs to the silver screen, PinkPantheress is ready for her next big chapter.

The British singer, songwriter, and producer has built a career by doing things her own way. Now, she's taking on a brand new challenge. According to Deadline, the multiplatinum artist, whose real name is Victoria Walker, is set to make her feature acting debut in the Daniels' secret event film for Universal Pictures.

Joining a star-studded cast

PinkPantheress joins an already impressive lineup that includes Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Sean Kaufman, Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks, Thalia Dudek, and Michael Gandolfini. The project is directed by Oscar-winning filmmakers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, better known together as the Daniels, the creative duo behind Everything Everywhere All at Once.

As expected with a Daniels project, almost everything about the film is being kept under wraps. According to Deadline, no plot details have been revealed.

From viral hits to major milestones

PinkPantheress first exploded onto the music scene in 2021 after sharing her R&B, alternative pop, and UK garage-inspired songs on TikTok and SoundCloud. Fans quickly connected with her honest lyrics, catchy production, and creative use of samples from songs released in the 1990s and 2000s.

She also became known for breaking the usual rules of pop music. Many of her songs run for around 90 seconds, and her eight-track album Fancy That clocks in at just 20 minutes.

Her music career has continued to reach new heights. She has earned two Grammy nominations this year for Best Dance Pop Recording for "Illegal" and Best Dance/Electronic Album for Fancy That.

She also made history by winning the BRIT Award for Producer of the Year, becoming the first woman and, at 25 years old, the youngest person ever to receive the honor. Her growing list of achievements also includes being named Variety's Young Hollywood Music Innovator of the Year for 2025, landing on the 2025 Mercury Prize shortlist, winning Producer of the Year at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, and earning a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Earlier this year, she celebrated another career milestone when "Stateside + Zara Larsson" became her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Global 200. PinkPantheress has built a massive online following with 14.5 million followers across social media. She has also appeared in campaigns for Coach, Anna Sui's collection for Old Navy, Marc Jacobs Heaven, Starface, Bose, Apple, and several other major brands.

A mystery project fans will have to wait for

Behind the scenes, the Daniels are producing the untitled film alongside Jonathan Wang through their Playgrounds banner as part of the company's overall deal with Universal. Deadline reports that Universal Executive Vice President of Production Development Sara Scott and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell are overseeing the project for the studio.

Universal declined to comment on PinkPantheress joining the cast. For now, fans will have to keep guessing what the secret movie is about. One thing is already confirmed, though. The film is scheduled to open in theaters on November 19, 2027.
