Content creator and cookbook author Nara Smith has shared heartbreaking news with her followers, revealing that her 2-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer late last year.

In an emotional video posted to Instagram, Smith explained that she and her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, sought medical attention after noticing "something suspicious." After visits to the emergency room, their pediatrician, and a children's hospital, doctors confirmed that Whimsy had cancer and said it had already spread, requiring immediate chemotherapy. Nara did not disclose the type of cancer or provide an update on her daughter's current condition.

Smith also opened up about the challenges of balancing her daughter's treatment while caring for her other children, recovering postpartum, and continuing to work.

She said connecting with other families facing similar experiences has helped her feel less alone, and she hopes sharing her family's story will encourage others to trust their instincts and seek medical care if something doesn't seem right.

Following her announcement, thousands of fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comments with messages of love, prayers, and encouragement for Whimsy and the entire Smith family. From Meghan Trainor and Skai Jackson to Winnie Harlow and Heidi Klum. Many took to the comment section to show their love and support towards the Smith family.

Our thoughts are with Nara, Lucky, Whimsy, and their loved ones as they continue their journey.
