Megan Thee Stallion Confirms ‘Act III’ is in Production

Megan Thee Stallion said Thursday, June 25, that she's working to get financing for her third album, Act III. This wraps up a trilogy that started in 2024. The Houston rapper posted a video on social media after fans asked about new music.

"Hotties complaining while I'm in meetings securing us A BIG BUDGET for act III," she wrote. Followers had been upset online about no fresh releases since 2024.

The new project will finish a series that started with Megan in June 2024, per Hot New Hip-Hop. Megan: Act II came out later that year. She paid for both albums herself through Hot Girl Productions, the label she created after splitting from 1501 Certified Entertainment in late 2023.

Two singles have come out since Act II dropped. Those tracks, "Whatever" and "Lover Girl," will be part of her third record. Also, the track "Lover Girl" put hip-hop back on the top 40 chart last fall. It marked the first time the genre had been missing from that spot since 1990.

The money talks show a change. She won't be using the independent model that paid for her last two albums. This kind of funding lets her do bigger productions, videos, and promotions that self-financing can't handle.

It's been a busy year for the superstar. She's been doing music, plus working on business projects, and making public appearances.

Megan Thee Stallion made her Broadway debut in March 2026. She played Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. She also worked on "DNA (More Than a Game)," the FIFA World Cup anthem that came out earlier this month.

She broke up with NBA player Klay Thompson this year. She said he cheated on her and treated her badly when his performance on the court got worse. Fans think the split will be talked about on the new project.

No release date has been set for Act III.
