Is Morgan Wallen Releasing His Leaked Track ‘Been By Now’ Soon?

Morgan Wallen may be dealing with an unexpected rollout problem after his unreleased track “Been By Now” surfaced online ahead of schedule. The leak, which spread across social media platforms, comes as Wallen has also been actively teasing the track himself through Instagram posts, fueling speculation that a formal release could be soon.  

As reported by Holler, “Been By Now” began circulating online and was shared across platforms like TikTok, catching fans off guard since the song had not yet been officially released. Some even questioned its authenticity and called the track AI-generated.  

The leak follows Wallen’s now-familiar release strategy, where he previews songs in short snippets or “voicenote”-style posts before rolling out the final version at a later date.  

Before the leak’s spread, Wallen had already begun teasing “Been By Now” on Instagram on June 4. On June 6, a social media user, @genemcgarrahh, posted the whole song on TikTok, claiming he clicked an ad from “@countryverse799”, which led him to the website where the full song was uploaded. The site was already taken down, but McGarrah was already able to save a copy.  

On June 21, Wallen uploaded a video of himself singing the song’s second verse, the same as what McGarrah released.  

The situation has also sparked broader conversation about how artists like Wallen handle leaks, previews, and social media-driven anticipation.  

Some fans believe the early exposure could actually accelerate the release timeline, while others argue artists might altogether avoid posting teases and snippets in the future to avoid unofficial leaks.  

For now, there has been no official confirmation from Wallen or his team regarding whether the leak will alter the planned rollout.
