Molly Santana and North West are officially joining forces for their first-ever co-headlining tour, giving fans a chance to see two of hip-hop's youngest buzzworthy names share the stage.
On Tuesday (June 16), the rappers announced the Molly x North Kimokawaii Tour, which begins Aug. 5 in Dallas. The trek will hit 14 cities, including Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Boulder, Colorado, before wrapping up in Los Angeles on Aug. 27.
The tour's name has a special meaning, too. "Kimokawaii" is a Japanese term that translates to "gross-cute," a nod to part of Santana's ethnicity.
A Summer Smash Tease
Fans got an early hint that something was coming over the weekend. Santana and West, the daughter of Ye and Kim Kardashian, teased the tour while performing during a set at Lyrical Lemonade's Summer Smash festival in Chicago.
Both Artists Are on a Roll
The announcement comes at a busy time for both rappers.
Santana recently teamed up with Future on Drake's song "Ran to Atlanta" from his new album Iceman, which spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The track debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Santana followed that success with her latest single, "Can't Touch This."
Meanwhile, West recently released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, continuing to build her own music career.
Fans won't have to wait long to grab tickets. Following the artist presale on Wednesday, June 17 at 10 a.m. local time, all tickets go on sale Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m.
One thing is clear: Molly Santana and North West are ready to make some noise this summer, and they're doing it together.
