A new legal challenge could be waiting for Sean "Diddy" Combs, even as he serves time on a federal conviction.
According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has confirmed it is actively reviewing new sexual assault allegations against the music mogul. The review could potentially lead to criminal charges separate from the federal case that already landed him in prison.
Editor's Note: This article discusses allegations of sexual assault and includes descriptions of alleged sexual conduct.
New Allegations Surface
The accuser is publicist Jonathan Hay, who filed a police report in September 2025 in his hometown of Largo, Florida. Hay alleges that Combs sexually battered him on two separate occasions, once in 2020 and again in 2021.
Because the alleged incidents took place in Los Angeles, Florida authorities transferred the report to law enforcement agencies in California.
Hay's account centers on studio sessions involving CJ Wallace, the son of the late Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace. According to the police report, Hay was working with Wallace on a remix project when Combs allegedly appeared during the sessions.
In the first alleged incident, Hay claimed that Combs masturbated into one of The Notorious B.I.G.'s shirts before telling the producer to “come finish him off” before ejaculating and throwing the shirt at him.
Hay also alleged that during a second incident, he was alone with Combs in a room when the music executive called him a “snitch” and forcefully put his penis in the producer's mouth.
Prosecutors Reviewing the Case
Both the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department conducted separate investigations and later presented their findings to the District Attorney's Office in the fall.
District Attorney's Office spokesperson Venusse Dunn confirmed the case remains under review on June 2.
"We are reviewing the case," Dunn said.
Hay welcomed the development and said it represents progress in his pursuit of justice.
"Standing as a survivor of the actions involving Sean Diddy Combs and Christopher CJ Wallace, I view the validation of my accounts by the LAPD and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office as a critical juncture," he said. "This development represents a substantial advancement in my pursuit of complete accountability. Justice is prevailing."
Connection to Earlier Legal Dispute
The allegations come after Wallace won a default judgment against Hay in a defamation lawsuit last year.
In that lawsuit, Wallace alleged that Hay gave interviews claiming, among other things, that Wallace helped set him up to be sexually assaulted by Combs.
Diddy Continues Appeal
Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey.
His sentence stems from a conviction on charges that he transported a girlfriend and another woman across state lines for prostitution. Jurors found him not guilty on racketeering conspiracy and two sex trafficking charges.
He is currently appealing that federal conviction while Los Angeles prosecutors continue reviewing the latest allegations.
