Michael Jordan & Denny Hamlin Purchase NASCAR Team, Bubba Wallace To Drive

I know, I know...NASCAR hasn't been the same since Earnhardt left. BUT, this is still pretty cool news: Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin are purchasing a NASCAR Team, with Bubba Wallace driving.

In the announcement, Jordan says, "Historically, NASCAR has struggled with diversity and there have been few Black owners," adding that this is, "a chance to educate a new audience and open more opportunities for Black people in racing."

Although a minority owner of the new team with Jordan, Denny Hamlin will continue to drive the #11 car as a member of Joe Gibbs Racing.

The Jordan/Hamlin team will feature a single car. "This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I believe is a great fit for me at this point in my career," says Bubba Wallace.
